Combination of increased prevalence of cardiac arrest in Malaysia with low prevalence of readily bystander rescue CPR is not an ideal environment to reduce mortality and morbidity from myocardial infarction. Training of CPR to the community is important, however emphasis should be made on the quality of chest compression when performing CPR. Various audiovisual feedback devices have been designed and readily available in the market to help assess the quality of compression. The price ranges based on the complexity of the devices and tools such as training mannequin that comes together in the package. A complete set of CPR training tools in the market that comprises of audiovisual training and feedback device to give actual feeling of quality CPR will cost dearly to be made available for each trainee. Therefore, we propose to developed CPR kit specially design for community usage. The kit is easy to understand, handy and can be operated even without special training module. It comprises of CPR modulator, mini CPR guide and audiovisual guide (mobile apps). It is imperative to provide a complete kit inclusive with feedback device that is affordable and least complex for layman to ensure that dissemination of knowledge on quality CPR to the community can be achieved.
